Tires slashed across Vernon

Vehicles were vandalized Monday night in Vernon.

Numerous vehicles have had their tires slashed all across town between 7 p.m. and midnight causing thousands of dollars in damage.

In one case in the 2000 block of 24th Avenue, eight vehicles in a row had their tires slashed, according to RCMP.

Vehicles parked at Vernon Square, Village Green, Wal-Mart, the Landing Plaza and the BX dog park were also targeted.

One report indicates the suspect males are in their late teens or early 20’s and may have been driving a newer model beige Ford Taurus.
