The St. Paul’s registry was created in September 2012 to help improve detection and management of Familial Hypercholesterolemia (FH).

The gene is dominant, and therefore present in about half of the members of an affected family.

About 8,000 people are affected in B.C. and are unaware.

If you would like more information about BC’s FH registry, you can contact the coordinator, Luba Cermakova at Lcermakova@providencehealth.bc.ca or 604.806.9624.
