MONTREAL – It was a thrill of a lifetime for Dominic Boudreau.

He was the last Quebecer to have appeared on “The Price Is Right” with Bob Barker back in June of 2007.

Not only did he get called down, but he won a new piano.

Boudreau is a singer/song writer and desperately wanted to win the musical instrument.

“He came back on the air and was really excited to say ‘Dominic is a singer/song writer. He’s been praying for that piano. Let’s make sure he wins that piano.'” he remembered.

Thursday, Boudreau sat down to watch Barker one more time.

The former game show host made a guest appearance after retiring from the program in 2007.

It was his 90th birthday.

“I had chills all over me,” said Boudreau.

“He’s a man I really, really look up to. He’s a model, I think, for a lot of people.”

Boudreau said watching Barker brought back a lot of memories.

The Quebecer still keeps a pile of memorabilia from that spring day, including a cheque for more than 23 hundred dollars, which he took instead of all the taxes and import fees he would have had to pay for winning the top prize.

“It would have cost me like $6,000 to have my $8,000 piano,” said Boudreau.

“It was a little bit too much for me.”

While the cheque may be long gone, Boudreau is taking away a lot more than what money can buy.

“Just meeting Bob Barker and seeing him in person and shaking his hands a couple of times was priceless,” he said.
