The Special Investigations Unit is investigating Toronto Police after a cyclist was struck by a cruiser on Sunday night near Castle Frank Station.
An officer was headed to a call eastbound on Bloor Street East, near the subway station, when the cruiser struck a cyclist at around 6:30 p.m., the SIU said.
Paramedics said they took a cyclist to a trauma centre with serious injuries.
The SIU said the injured cyclist was a 32-year-old man.
The SIU is an independent agency that investigates the conduct of officers in incidents that have resulted in death, serious injury, or alleged sexual assault.
