“It’s heartbreaking,” said Eugene Bounting, the baby’s grandfather, said in an interview with The StarPhoenix in March 2009.

The boy, Camden Bounting, was the first child of Amy Bounting, who is living with her parents while she copes with the tragic loss, her grandmother said.

Lloydminster RCMP responded to a 911 call on 47th Street at about 10:25 a.m.

The call was dispatched as a sudden death involving an infant child. Lloydminster EMS and the Saskatchewan coroner also responded.

The parents found the baby dead in his crib when they woke up, Lloydminster RCMP Sgt. Ken Marchand said shortly after the arrest.

“There were no obvious signs of the cause of death at the residence,” Marchand said.

An autopsy was performed before the arrest, but police would provide no details about the results. Following the autopsy, the second-degree murder charge was laid against Larose.
