Jason Clarke plays Jarek Wysocki, a local legend and larger-than-life veteran of the Chicago Police Department. Like the city of Chicago, Jarek is razor blades and brass knuckles wrapped in politeness and egoless charm – a man who throws away partners the way others throw away tissues.
Australian actor Jason Clarke first came to America’s attention in the critically acclaimed series “Brotherhood,” in which he played Tommy Caffee, an ambitious Rhode Island politician navigating the treacherous worlds of local politics and organized crime.
Clarke’s film credits include Oliver Stone’s “Wall Street: Money Never Sleeps,” David Schwimmer’s “Trust,” Michael Mann’s “Public Enemies” opposite Johnny Depp, Paul W.S. Anderson’s “Death Race” and Jada Pinkett Smith’s directorial debut, “The Human Contract.” He has also appeared in several Australian films, including “Rabbit-Proof Fence,” “Better Than Sex” and “Park Street.”
His upcoming films include “Yelling To The Sky” and “Swerve.”
A graduate of Victorian College of the Arts in Melbourne, Clarke also has extensive credits in theater, both as an actor and a director. He divides his time between Australia and Chicago.
