MONTREAL – Police were investigating Tuesday an attack on the Russian consulate in downtown Montreal in which windows were broken and paint was splattered on the building.
Three people dressed all in black and wearing dark face coverings or masks were seen by witnesses about 2 a.m. launching paintballs at the consulate located on du Musée Ave. north of Dr. Penfield Ave., Montreal police Constable Daniel Lacoursière said.
Three windows at the consulate were broken, police said.
The ornate building has a high fence and security cameras are trained on the front of the building. But police said Tuesday morning they did not have any suspects.
