Police reported the incident just after 8 a.m. and say it happened near the intersection of Queenston and Nash roads.

The 17-year-old was riding a scooter at the time of the crash, according to a spokesperson.

Paramedics say the teen was in “life-threatening condition” when sent to a trauma centre.

In an update Monday afternoon, investigators said the boy had suffered “life-altering” injuries and that the driver of the vehicle involved remained at the scene.

Nash between Dover Drive and Queenston Road was closed for several hours amid an investigation.

The road reopened just after Noon, say police.
