TORONTO – The temperatures in Toronto were a balmy 15 C on Thursday, but the cold weather is returning.
As of Thursday afternoon, a cold front was pushing through southern Ontario, bringing cold Arctic air back to the region.

Though no daytime high records were broken (18 C in 2001), it got close. It felt more like spring than fall in the city in the late morning, but by late-afternoon, temperatures had already fallen to 9 C.
The daytime high for this time of year is 3 C.
As the Arctic air descends on the region, temperatures will drop to -1 C overnight, with a high on Friday near 1 C.
