WINNIPEG – An average of 1,600 babies get emergency baby formula from Winnipeg Harvest every month – but there’s never enough to meet the demand.
Global Winnipeg and Shaw TV are joining Corus Radio this year in the Hunger for Hope auction to raise funds for the Winnipeg food bank.
The 12 Hours of Christmas auction will be live on CJOB, Power 97 and Fresh FM from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m., with live hits with weather specialist Mike Koncan on the Morning News on Global Television from 6 to 9 a.m.

Viewers can call 204-779-HOPE (4673) to bid on packages listed on all three radio stations’ websites, with a winning bid to be announced each hour.
Shaw TV will being doing updates on the auction throughout the day and featuring stories about Winnipeg Harvest.
The auction items include a trip to a fly-in fishing lodge, Taylor Swift-autographed guitar, a chance to be in the CJOB studio with Hal Anderson for an hour, a backyard reno package, a romantic weekend that includes a night at the Fort Garry and a gift of jewelry, and tickets to every concert and event CJOB promotes in 2014, which already includes Cher and Michael Buble.
