MONTREAL – Marvin (Normand) Ouimet, wanted on a Canada-wide warrant for his criminal activities with the Hells Angels, was arrested Monday by the Surété du Québec.
The 39-year-old Ouimet, who often went by the nickname Casper, offered no resistance when he was found in a taxi on St. Denis St. at 4:30 p.m. and arrested.
The SQ had been looking for him since April 2009 when the Project SharQc sweep picked up numerous members of the biker gang.
Ouimet was president of the Hells Angels in Trois Rivières and went by the aliases Casper and Andy.
A warrant for his arrest was issued in 2009 by the RCMP in conjunction with the SQ for murder, gangsterism, drug trafficking and conspiracy to commit both murder and drug trafficking. Last November, more charges were added to his arrest warrant: fraud, extortion and money laundering, said SQ spokesperson Sgt. Eloise Cossette.
Ouimet will appear in court on Tuesday.
