Pedestrian killed following Guelph collision: OPP

Wellington OPP say one pedestrian died after being struck by a pick-up truck at the Hanlon Expressway and Woodlawn Road on Thursday night. OPP

Wellington County OPP say a late-night collision claimed the life of a Guelph man.

OPP said emergency crews arrived at around 11:30 p.m. on Thursday at the intersection of the Hanlon Expressway and Woodlawn Road in Guelph.

In a post on X, formerly known as Twitter, Const. Josh Cunningham said the collision involved a pedestrian and a pickup truck.

The pedestrian was pronounced dead at the scene. He has been identified as a 58-year-old man from Guelph.

The area was closed for several hours as crews cleaned up and investigators gathered evidence from the collision.
