The Integrated Homicide Investigation Team was called out to Langley, B.C., Sunday after a body was found at the scene of an explosion.
Investigators said Langley RCMP were first called at approximately 2:15 p.m. to a home on 8 Avenue between Brown Road and 248 Street in a rural area of the city.
An outbuilding was on fire, which was extinguished by the Township of Langley Fire Department, and while they were examining the scene they found human remains inside, IHIT said in a release.
It is not known how the incident was determined to be a homicide but IHIT has now taken control of the case.
