SHERBROOKE, Que. – Estrie RCMP have arrested a 51-year-old man in connection with importing cocaine.
Stephan Gervais from Racine was arrested on Monday morning as part of an ongoing, collaborative investigation with Canada Border Services Agency and the RCMP Airport Federal Investigation Section.
Last March, 46-year-old Linda Leroux and 51-year-old Louise Leroux were arrested at Pierre-Elliot Trudeau Airport and charged with importing drugs.
The two women allegedly acted as cocaine “mules” for Gervais.
At the time of their arrest, the two women were transporting just over 1.4 kg of cocaine concealed in their body cavities.
Gervais is expected to appear in court in Sherbrooke on Monday and faces possible charges of conspiracy and importing cocaine under the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act.
