Theatre Calgary is once again set to take its traditional Shakespeare by the Bow program on the road…as Shakespeare On The Go!
From July 14 – August 6, Theatre Calgary will be taking a cast of seven emerging artists across Calgary and surrounding area to present William Shakespeare’s A Midsummer Night’s Dream, adapted by Anna Cummer, and directed by Kelli Fox.
One of Shakespeare’s most beloved comedies, A Midsummer Night’s Dream follows four young lovers and a group of six amateur actors through the forest as they are influenced and manipulated by a band of feuding fairies. Audiences can expect a madcap comedy of vaudevillian proportions in this lauded chase of love, identity, and confusion.
In keeping with tradition, there is no cost to watch this performance. However opportunities to donate and support this program and our emerging artists are available on-site following the performance, or online.
