Renowned Canadian author and our inaugural Writer in Residence, Rawi Hage is giving a public talk on March 2 in A130 from 6:00 pm –7:00 pm. Rawi was one of five finalists for the 2022 Scotiabank Giller Prize, English Canadian fiction’s largest literary award, for his short story collection Stray Dogs. He will be joined by fellow renowned author David Chariandy whose novel Brother, was the recipient of the 2017 Rogers Writers’ Trust Fiction Prize, the 2018 Toronto Book Award and the 2018 Ethel Wilson Fiction Prize and was named book of the year by publications such as The Globe and Mail, and The New York City Public Library. This event is open to the community but there is limited capacity. Please RSVP to secure your place. There will be a reception in the A Building Main Foyer afterwards. Both Rawi and David’s books will be available to purchase and patrons will have an opportunity to have them signed.
