On Wednesday, June 1 the University of Regina – along with its partners at the Regina & District Chamber of Commerce – will welcome former Prime Minister, the Right Honourable Brian Mulroney, as the featured speaker at a fundraising event for Project Resilience.
The event will feature First Nations University of Canada professor Patricia Elliott, in conversation with the former Prime Minister, who will appear via video link. As Prime Minister, Mr. Mulroney served as co-chair of the United Nations World Summit for Children and was instrumental in the campaign against apartheid in South Africa, the reunification of Germany, and the liberation of Kuwait in the First Gulf War.
The event will also include testimonials from two University of Regina students whose home countries have been ravaged by war and who can speak about the importance of an initiative such as Project Resilience. A reception with light refreshments and a cash bar will follow the program. Audience members will have a chance to submit questions as time allows.
Donations to Project Resilience can be made at the event or by clicking here. All proceeds from the event will go to Project Resilience.
Tickets for the event are limited, so get yours today.
