Asian Impact Society is excited to present the 1st Annual BC Dumpling Festival in the TriCities. This festival is a celebration of the diverse community we live in and brings together families, friends, neighbours, community organizations and businesses from different cultures to share food, entertainment and laughter. This festival will be the first of its kind in our beautiful community, it is a multicultural, family-friendly event that will showcase dumplings from around the world! The day will be packed with live entertainment, activities for all ages, and local food and beverage vendors and will feature a dumpling competition. The idea for BC Dumpling Festival was sparked during COVID 19 when we saw a rise in anti-Asian hate and crime in our community. The founding members of the Asian Impact Society feel that one of the steps to combat racism is to demystify cultural differences by bringing together people from all walks of life and cultural backgrounds together.
