RMHC Hustle for the Houses, supported by Global Calgary

Registration for RMHC Alberta’s second virtual run is OPEN!

Join us for this year’s 2nd annual provincial Hustle for the House! Get outside and walk, run, bike, bark, or even hustle on horseback!

In 2020, RMHC Alberta served families from 191 communities across the province. Hustle for the House hopes to touch each and every one of those communities that has been touched by RMHC Alberta.

Our Houses in Calgary, Edmonton, Red Deer, and Medicine Hat are a not nice to have; they are a must-have. 1 in 4 Canadians has either stayed at – or knows someone who has stayed at – a Ronald McDonald House. Please go the distance by fundraising in support of those families, and let’s see you Hustle for the House!

About RMHC Alberta

RMHC Alberta supports families seeking vital medical treatment for their sick or injured child. Over 65% of Canadians live outside of a city centre with a hospital, and must travel long distances for medical reasons. Our Houses in Calgary, Edmonton, Red Deer, and Medicine Hat provide a home-away-from-home for families, while allowing them the gift of staying together during one of life’s most difficult times. RMHC Alberta saves families approximately $6.5 million a year on expenses related accommodation, transportation, meals, laundry, parking, and so much more. Having a Ronald McDonald House close to the hospital is an important part of family-centred care.

  • Participants who register prior to June 1st will receive their package prior to July 19th (*this only applies to a paid registration). Participants who register after June 1st will receive their packages after the event.

HOW TO COMPLETE THE RACE

• Complete a run/walk/ride distance of your choice between July 19-24th.
• Complete your activity wherever you want! Outside, on the treadmill, park, or pathways…the choices are endless but please keep COVID-19 health & safety restrictions in mind!

COMPLETION

• We encourage 2021 participants to share your journey!
  • Post selfie photo/video taken during or after on Facebook, Instagram or Twitter
  • Post route/time on social media using GPS Apps like Strava, Nike Plus, etc.
  • Fire up a Facebook Live and invite your friends & family to a ‘watch party’
  • Set up a Facebook fundraiser with a donate button to your campaign
