On Sunday, May 30, we’ll join each other online and walk on our own to show our neighbours that they aren’t alone in their fight against multiple sclerosis.

Canada may have one of the highest rates of MS in the world, but it also has one community made up of us and tens of thousands of others all walking forward together toward a world free of MS.

Your Impact as a Participant

When you register for MS Walk you ensure that nobody living with MS is alone in their journey. When you fundraise for MS Walk you take your support to the next level by helping fund the programs and resources needed to ensure their quality of life today and in the future.

Leading-edge research

Since 1948 we have contributed more than $175 million towards MS research, resulting in several ground-breaking discoveries. The economic crisis is now putting the momentum of MS research at risk and jeopardizing the progress we’ve made toward a world free of MS. Your MS Walk fundraising will help ensure that MS researchers can continue their critical work and make the next great discovery.

Advocacy to ensure all people living with MS have access

MS research has resulted in the greatest number of disease-modifying therapies available to people living with MS, yet research shows that not all Canadians have sufficient, affordable and equitable access to the treatments best suited for their health. When you fundraise for MS Walk, you make certain that financial circumstance doesn’t limit one’s ability to access effective treatments.

Support when people living with MS need it

It’s critical that each individual living with MS has access to support resources whenever they need them. Your MS Walk fundraising helps operate the MS Knowledge Network, a hub that anyone can call to access current and reliable information, and the 1:1 Peer Support Program which connects people seeking support with those in the community who can provide it.
