The BC Polish Festival is a day of celebrating Polish culture within the BC community. This is the 14th Polish Festival hosted by the Polonez Tri-City Polish Association, which celebrates its 30th anniversary this year. This event is a community favourite and the organizers invite you and your families to join them for a full day of festivities and sunshine! The event is known for its abundance of entertaining performances, great food, and crisp Polish beer. From 1:00-7:30pm, the stage will be full of performances including folk dances from the Polonez Dance Group, music from the White Eagle Band, Gipsy music from Parno Drom, as well as many talented soloists. The fun doesn’t end when the performances do though, the evening will continue with an outdoor dance party that will run into 9:30pm. Throughout the day, parents can enjoy some Polish beers in the beer garden while leaving their children under supervision at “the kid’s place”. Here there will be activities and games prepared for children, as well as a play by the King Matt Theatre. You will definitely not go hungry at the festival, as there will be plenty of delicious Polish foods including perogies, sausages, hunter’s stew, potato pancakes and other delicacies. There will also be a marketplace where you can buy arts, crafts, jewellery and much more, as well as a raffle with many exciting prizes to be won. As usual, the festival is free to attend so everyone is welcome for this day of festivities! link from last year’s festival: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hxLs5WIuqqo
