Join UBC Opera for a powerful new production in honour of Armistice 100. The Pulitzer Prize-winning opera “Silent Night” recounts the remarkable true story of the 1914 Christmas Truce: a spontaneous cease-fire experienced by Scottish, French, and German soldiers during World War I. The opera will run alongside a wide-ranging symposium of free events organized in conjunction with the UBC Faculty of Education and the Veterans Transition Program.
