House Concert @ UBC: The Goldberg Variations

Please join us for two intimate concerts in two beautiful living rooms (UBC & West Vancouver), surrounded by an audience of friendly music lovers. Wine and snacks will be provided! Tickets: https://www.mymusicfriends.com Sergei Saratovsky, the current Piano Department Chair at the VSO School of Music, share with us one of the supreme creations of keyboard music, the Goldberg Variations by Johann Sebastian Bach. A spiritually uplifting set of 30 variations on a simple and beautiful aria, Bach applies almost every transformation imaginable to the aria over the course of this work, creating a monumental demonstration of his compositional craft that is as awe-inducing as it is moving.
