KidSport Cup – Calgary Hitmen Home Opener

September 29th the Calgary Hitmen open their WHL season against the Edmonton Oil Kings – Presented by Papa John’s Not that this provincial rivalry needed any added competition, but it will have as this year we unveil the KidSport Cup! Two teams of outstanding Team KidSport Calgary Ambassadors will lock horns in a battle for bragging rights, the trophy and most importanly giving more local kids the access to sport they need and deserve. The teams include: Alysia Rissling Erica Wiebe Madi Charney Rebecca Johnston Trish Jaworski Geoff Snider Hailey Daniels Rachael McIntosh Maria Samson Micalea Widmer Kodette Labarbera Grace Dafoe Chris Cederstrand Mozac Samson How does the competition work? Each team will be competing head to head for points leading up to the game on September 29 and during the game night. Whoever wins will get to hoist the cup and be presented the cheque for the proceeds from the nights activities. You will see them compete in tricycle races, pizza box building competition and then the fans will help by being part of a rela and pizza slice pass. How can you get involved? You will also being doing your part in supporting KidSport Calgary as $5 from every ticket will go toward giving local kids the Gift of Sport. KidSport Calgary is going to provide sport registration fee assistance to over 5,000 local kids who need our support this year.
