Please join the volunteers from the Friends of the South Slopes Society (FOSS) as they celebrate the Province’s recent acquisition of a 40-acre private inholding in Myra-Bellevue Provincial Park. This acquisition protects a valuable wetland area as well as some popular trails that traverse the property. There will be a guided walk to the Myra Wetlands – meet at 9 am under the FOSS banner at the Stewart Rd. East Trailhead. A brief presentation will be made at 11 am. Information on FOSS (including memberships & trail maps), the Wetlands, and the park will be available from 9 – 2 pm. The South East Kelowna Volunteer Fire Dept. will host a BBQ. Proceeds will go to their Christmas hamper project.
