Jeunesse Classique Ballet Society Open Nutcracker Auditions

Dancers, Jeunesse Classique Ballet Society would like to invite all the interested dancers to our upcoming auditions for the annual Jeunesse Classique Ballet production of The Nutcracker. We will be holding our Calgary auditions on Saturday, September 15th, and Sunday, September 16th. This production will be touring to Medicine Hat with auditions being held for their local dancers the following weekend. Calgary Nutcracker Auditions info: Calgary – September 15 – 16, 2018 Heritage Square Studios 8500 Macleod Trail SE, Calgary, Alberta Saturday, September 15th, 2018 2:00 – 3:30 Advanced Foundation, Adv 1, Adv 2, and Pre-Professional 3:30 – 5:00 Intermediate & Intermediate Foundation 5:00 – 6:00 Ballet Grades 2 & 3 6:00 – 7:00 Ballet Grades 4 & 5 Sunday, September 16th 12:30 – 2:00 Advanced Foundation, Adv 1, Adv 2, and Pre-Professional 2:00 – 3:15 Intermediate & Intermediate Foundation 3:30 – 4:30 Ballet Grades 2 & 3 4:30 – 5:30 Ballet Grades 4 & 5 Auditions are scheduled using the grading system of the RAD syllabus. If your dance school uses a different training syllabus and are unsure as to which session to attend, please contact us and we’ll be happy to assist you. Dancers below the RAD Grade 2 level will audition at a later date. Medicine Hat Nutcracker Auditions info: Medicine Hat auditions – September 22 and 23 – are being held on the Medicine Hat College campus. The Auditions and future rehearsals will take place in Studio A, Room CC121. Saturday, September 22 1:00-1:45 Ages 5-7 2:00-3:00 Ages 8-12 3:30-5:00 Ages 13 and up – please bring pointe shoes if already on pointe Sunday, September 23 1:00-1:45 Ages 5-7 2:00-3:00 Ages 8-12 3:30-5:00 Ages 13 and up – please bring pointe shoes if already on pointe Audition fee: $30 payable online or at the time of audition. Dancers from all dance studios are invited to audition. Dancers only need to attend one audition session. We have created multiple spots for the convenience of dancer scheduling. Attire: Females: Ballet body suit, pink tights, classical bun, ballet shoes appropriate for level (Pointe Shoes: Intermediate Foundation level and up). Males: appropriate ballet attire (white shirt, black shorts, ballet shoes).
