Parks Day & Creekfest is an important component of the Friends’ Watershed Stewardship program, designed to raise awareness about protecting our local waterways. Join us for this amazing free summertime festival in Fish Creek Provincial Park to celebrate this province’s breathtaking parks and protected areas, and learn about environmental conservation. Juno-award winning Peter Puffin’s Whale Tales will return for the 8th year in a row to host a dynamic and interactive concert performance and song-writing workshop. Kids and families will enjoy Alberta Parks’ “Finding Fawn,” the story of a young deer separated from his mother along a busy highway, and the music of local musician and historian, The History Wrangler. Visitors can learn to juggle with Michelle and Peter, The Juggling Clowns, and take part in guided walks to increase their knowledge about birds, our local waterways and the new ATCO native grassland. Have fun while learning about environmental conservation through hands-on activities and educational experiences hosted by community organizations dedicated to protecting Fish Creek and other natural areas. Learn about our exciting programs, courses and events, and support Friends of Fish Creek environmental conservation efforts. At Parks Day & Creekfest you can even pick up your tickets for A Taste of Autumn and the WestJet Gift of Flight Raffle.
