Day #1: Make a Plan
Be prepared for any emergency by making a plan. Have a home escape plan created so all of your family members know how to evacuate in case of an emergency.
Don’t get caught in a tight spot like Scott – know your plan!

Day #2: Get Emergency Supplies
Make sure you’re ready for an emergency situation by having supplies prepared and ready to go.
Consider storing non-perishable foods, flashlights, beverages and other objects you might need for survival.
Be like Shiona Thompson – prepare a kit for emergencies.

Day #3: Prepare For Unique Needs
There’s no end to the situations you might find yourself in in the event of an emergency. It’s best to prepare for anything and everything.
You can prepare yourself for unique needs by grabbing a copy of the City of Hamilton’s Emergency Plan here: https://www.hamilton.ca/…/emergency-p…/preparing-emergencies

CHML’s Ted Michaels grabbed his copy, and with time, he’ll be ready for anything.

Day #4: Be Informed, Sign Up For Alerts
The best way you can find out about situations that might affect you is to sign up for alerts and emergency warnings.
Download the AM900 CHML app to get breaking updates in your area.

CHML’s Sara Cain gets all her alerts sent to her phone so she can be prepared for any surprise emergency.

Day #5: Create An Emergency Supply Kit For Your Pet and Car
Notorious pet owner and CHML anchor Anthony Urchioli has prepared himself and the pets he loves for any future emergencies.
By building a supply kit and keeping it in his car, Anthony can guarantee that both him and his pets will be safe if the worst should happen.
