The Greater Vernon Museum & Archives (GVMA) will be hosting Celebrate the Valley: Farm to Table Dinner as the wrap up event for their featured travelling exhibition “The Social Life of Water.” Dinner guests will begin the evening inside the Museum for an intimate cocktail hour with a signature beverage paired with a sampling of appetizers. Guests will have the opportunity to mingle and view the “The Social Life of Water” exhibit, while enjoying live background music. Following the cocktail hour, guests will make their way outside. Here they will be seated at long charmingly decorated tables to enjoy a delicious three course, family-style meal amongst the beautifully landscaped Spirit Square. Soft acoustic music will play in the background and complete the evening. Having a meal celebrating the bounty that is produced in our area is a great way of highlighting home-grown food and beverages sourced within the Okanagan Watershed. All of our menu items are locally sourced, sustainably grown and ethically harvested. This thoughtful cuisine will be prepared by Basket Case Picnics and Catering, boasting a reputation for delectable regional cuisine. Your $75 ticket includes a one-of-a-kind dining experience, a sumptuous regional meal, and a selection of cocktails, wine and cider provided by local producers. Limited seating is available. Tickets can be purchased at the Museum or by phone, prior to May 3rd. We regret that tickets will not be available after that date or at the door.
