#GETLOUD for Mental Health with the CFCBT – Free Talk on Anxiety - image

On May 7, 2018 the Centre for Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CFCBT) is hosting a free education event in support of the Canadian Mental Health Association’s (CMHA) 67th Annual Mental Health Week. We are excited to #GETLOUD with our clients, other mental health professionals, and the public to discuss anxiety disorders. This event will provide information on Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and its use in treating anxiety disorders, as well as featuring the film Unstuck: an OCD kids movie. We will also have members of the new Alberta OCD Foundation sharing their experiences with exposure-based therapy. This event will be both educational and inspirational. We hope it will raise awareness of the suffering of individuals with anxiety disorders and the need for more specialized mental health services.   Event Details  When:  Monday, May 7, 2018 from  7:00 pm. – 9:00 pm.   Where:  Concordia University Edmonton, 7128 Ada Boulevard – Al & Trish Huehn Theatre (Enter through the Tegler Building or Hole Academic Centre. There will be posters on the main floor to direct attendees.) We hope you can join us and #GETLOUD to raise awareness of mental illness in Canada.
