Sports for Ethiopia

Rainbow for the Future is a Westlock based non-profit charitable foundation dedicated to the organization and integration of sustainable development in Ethiopia. On March 16th to March 17th Rainbow for the Future will be hosting the 3rd Annual Sports for Ethiopia at the Westlock Rotary Spirit Center. This is our HUGE fundraising event of the year. For 24 hours there is non-stop hockey, walking and pickleball! On March 17th at 6 PM at the Westlock Community Hall, the sporting event will wrap up with a banquet that includes a silent and live auction and entertainment by a young local artist ‘Dylan Hansen’. This year all funds will go towards Koka Lake. The unprotected lake is a chemical sewage disposal for a tannery and three flower factories. Health in surrounding communities is severely compromised. Rainbow for the Future is committed to bringing clean safe water to thousands of people living near Koka Lake. There is hope and prosperity now where there was none. Rainbow for the Future ensures 95% of the donations received goes to the recipients.
