Jazz Jams: The Butcher Chugh Quartet

$5 Cover If you’re a Cool Cat looking for a jam, the Carrot Community Arts Coffeehouse will be hosting Edmonton jazz musicians every month. Jazz Jam Nights begin with a 45 minute set from a featured house band, followed by a jam session where everyone is welcome to join in! All levels are welcome. March features The Butcher Chugh Quartet! Gus Butcher is and Edmonton based Guitarist, composer and teacher. He is currently enrolled in MacEwan University’s Bachelor of Music Program completing his 4th year. He has studied with guitarists Jim Head, Jamie Philp, Mo Lefever and George Koufogiannakis. Gus’s compositions and arrangements draw influences from many traditional jazz players as well as many modern jazz artists. Sahil Chugh is an up and coming freelance piano player in Edmonton, Alberta. The Sahil Chugh trio plays original music with influences from Brad Mehldau, Brian Blade and more.
