Wayne Oakes has found gold in Whitemud Ravine this year – over 95 species of birds. Wayne is an avid bird watcher and photographer, and Wild Birds Unlimited customer. After starting out by photographing as many birds as he could see in or over his yard in Rio Terrace, he started going to Whitemud Ravine where he discovered a real gold mine for birding. His count of birds from the ravine has now topped 95 and he may well hit 100 species by the time he gives this presentation. Wayne will show us highlight pictures of the birds he’s seen in the ravine this past year, and tell you stories about his interesting experiences on the trails spotting them.
