The Small Glories, last year’s hit at The Arden Theatre, was so well received that the duo graces our cover this season. The serendipitous folk music collaboration between Cara Luft and JD Edwards began as a one-time union, yet quickly proved to be musical magic worth maintaining. The lively pair combines flowing harmonies and guitar flair with straightforward, sometimes spiritual lyrics. Opening act AHI (pronounced “eye”) is one of Canada’s top emerging singer-songwriters who skillfully blends soul, folk and rock into timeless songs lifted along by his distinctive gritty voice.
