Obsessions Octet is now preparing for their second European Tour in July/August 2017. The Quartet’s favorite repertoire is music by Astor Piazzolla, an Argentinian tango/jazz master and bandoneon player. His music was the main inspiration behind the formation of Obsessions Octet in 2005. At the concert on June 24th, Obsessions Quartet will present numerous compositions by Piazzolla arranged for strings, including Libertango, Melodia, Tres Minutos Con Realidad, Tango Ballet, Ave Maria and Chante at Fugue. This seductive and exotic music will be complimented with compositions by friends and musicians of the group: Kent Sangster, Chris Andrew and Harold Birst.
