Come out for Hamilton Tool Library’s 2nd Birthday Bash and Fundraiser! Sponsored by Hamilton LRT, Turkstra Lumber, and First Ontario Credit Union, the event will be held on Sunday June 25th, 2017 from 11am-4pm. Located at Hamilton Tool Library’s new location at CoBuild Hamilton – 984 Barton Street East (old Mr. Used building), festivities include raffles, games, swag bags, live music, food trucks, and a maker market. Admission is free and the event is kid friendly with lots of activities to keep them busy!

Hamilton Tool Library is a not-for-profit organization that makes tools, building, and DIY projects accessible to all Hamiltonians, regardless of income level or DIY knowledge. Thousands of tools are available to members, whenever they need them, and they also have a fully functional woodworking shop including table saw, lathe, planers, and more. Hamilton Tool Library offers workshops where participants can brush up on skills or learn some new techniques. Executive Director, Nadine Ubl explains: “With each tool we lend, we hope to make Hamilton a little bit stronger and a little bit better. We’re lending tools to build community. Now that we’re in the Crown Point neighbourhood, we want to celebrate by bringing everyone out to see what we’re all about, and also to provide our community members with a fun day of music, food, and activities”. With food trucks like Curbside Burgers and Southern Smoke Barbeque House donating a portion of their proceeds, be sure to come hungry!
