An adventure that turns dangerous leads to the redemption of a young villain in Amanda Spottiswoode’s The Silver Lining, a children’s historical novel set in 1938. The book is suitable for ages 9-12. The cattle drive adventure takes readers throughout BC’s interior, including Douglas Lake Ranch, Fintry and O’Keefe Ranch. Spottiswoode accompanied by her Illustrator, Molly March, a Vernon native, will be at the Greater Vernon Museum & Archives on Saturday April 29th from 10-11am to present and sign books. Admission is by donation, however pre-registration is required as space is limited. Please call the museum at 250-542-3142 to reserve your spot. Juice & cookies will be provided. Copies of the book and her previous works will be available for purchase during the event.
