Artists in Bloom: A live artistry auction Artists in Bloom is an annual event held at Dawson College to raise funds for our students. During the event, talented student artists from the Illustration and Visual Arts Programs create new works of art in real time before a live audience. These artworks are then auctioned off by Donna Saker from The Beat, with all proceeds going towards Dawson students. This year, the funds raised will support Dawson College Mental Health Fund initiatives and also contribute to the artists in funding their vernissages. Over the past 26 years, Artists in Bloom has raised over $150,000 for various charitable causes. Join us on Thursday, April 17th, starting at 5:30 p.m., to witness 30 Dawson student artists in action as they transform blank canvases into incredible artworks. Enjoy hors d’oeuvres, drinks, live music, and mingle with fellow art enthusiasts while you vote for your favourite painting. Later, watch as the artwork is auctioned off! There will also be a designated area for children to create their own paintings. Each ticket includes complimentary hors d’oeuvres and one drink, with additional beverages available for purchase at the cash bar.
