It all kicks off with the Stampede Parade presented by Suncor! A traditional Calgary Stampede experience since 1912, the Stampede Parade presented by Suncor is a spectacular showcase of colorful floats, majestic horses and high-energy marching bands. Each year, the Stampede Parade entertains our community with a showcase of colourful floats, majestic horses and the high-energy marching bands.

THE SUPERWHEEL

• Take your Stampede experience to new heights with views from the mountains to the Midway and everything in between as you soar a breathtaking 150 feet through the Stampede skyline. The Superwheel is North America’s tallest travelling Ferris wheel!

STAMPEDE RODEO

• Presented daily at 1:30pm in GMC Stadium
• Rodeo tickets purchased in advance include admission to Stampede Park on the day the ticket is valid for.
• The World’s Largest Outdoor Rodeo featuring the world’s toughest competitors! The calibre of a rodeo comes down to two things: the sill of the competitor and the quality of the horses, bulls and steers. Every afternoon cowboys and cowgirls face off in a furious display of skill and grit with every win building towards Showdown Sunday.
  6 Rodeo Events; 10 days of action; $1.85M in Prize Money to be won!

EVENING SHOW

• Nightly at 7:45pm at GMC Stadium
• Evening Show tickets purchased in advance include admission to Stampede Park on the day the ticket is valid for.
• The Calgary Stampede Evening Show is a unique entertainment doubleheader. The blast of the klaxon kicks off the Cowboys Rangeland Derby chuckwagon races – excitement that’s measured on the Richter Scale. When the last wagon thunders over the finish line, the fan-favourite Relay Races start and the best Indigenous Relay Racing teams take the track! To conclude the evening, the Grandstand Show dazzles audiences with elaborate song and dance numbers, acrobatics and concludes with a spectacular fireworks finale in the night sky!

COWBOYS RANGELAND DERBY

• The pounding of the hooves and trembling of the ground can mean only one thing – the world’s premier Chuckwagon event has begun! With thrilling action over nine heats nightly as 27 Chuckwagon drivers, supported by their outriders and 162 horses, vie for prize money and bragging rights.

RELAY RACES

• A high-adrenaline event that requires a powerful combination of teamwork, precision and horsemanship. Ten teams show off their incredible skills with riders mounted bareback racing at top speed, then leaping off to swap horses before taking off on another lap.

GRANDSTAND SHOW

• It’s a little bit glam – it’s a little bit Rock and Roll and it happens all 10 nights of Stampede! From the first note to the final fireworks the 2024 Grandstand Show is an exhilarating ride through time. Journey back to when the biggest rock bands (and even bigger hair) took centre stage.
• This 80’s jukebox showcase has all your favourite rock hits. Race through jaw-dropping stunts and spectacles and find yourself in the future. From death defying adrenaline acts like Urias Globe of Death Daredevils and Tammy Firefly, the Human Firework and aerial artist to mind-bending displays of state-of-the-art technology including a drone light show and Boston Dynamics dancing robots called Spot, this year’s show will be a never-before-seen sensory experience. The show will hit a crescendo with the fan-favourite fireworks finale to cap off the night.
