AN EMPOWERING CONVERSATION WITH PAMELA ANDERSON
YWHISPER Gala, March 7th
On the eve of International Women’s Day 2024, YW Calgary will proudly present Pamela Anderson for one of the most important conversations of the year at the 12th annual YWHISPER Gala. This event is significant in terms of raising funds and awareness for the work YW does to advocate for and support women and their children in our community.
At a time when one in five women in Canada experience harassment; as little as 45% of people will say they truly understand the meaning of consent; and 1.8 million Albertans have experienced sexual harassment we need to be having open, honest and challenging conversations to be able to make significant changes in these statics. YWHISPER has built a reputation in Calgary for bringing people together in deep and impactful conversations that help create change and inspire people to take strong action.
A woman can only be defined by herself, not by her story as told by somebody else. Pamela Anderson’s own narrative is powerful and impactful. She shares how she overcame her traumas and public perception, describing her personal passions, and other lessons she learned along the way.
