Always wanted to try ice fishing but just don't have the know-how? This FREE event is for you! How does it work? Park at Waterfront Park located at the end of 50th Street in the Village of Wabamun. Bring a toboggan to pull your folding chairs, snacks and extra jackets to the event on the ice. Sign in at the TransAlta/ACA registration tent. Pick up a loaner ice fishing rod and fishing tips from Cabela’s. Find a pre-drilled ice fishing hole and drop a line. Ask roving fishing mentors for help with your rod and reel, ice fishing tips, and how safely handle and release fish. Afraid you’ll get a little chilly? Warm up with free hot chocolate care of Parkland County and try fishing from inside a Cabela’s ice fishing tent. There are hot dogs and snacks for hungry anglers, thanks to Wabamun Chamber and ATB. Bring your skates and hockey sticks, too. The Village of Wabamun will clear a skating oval and rink for pond hockey on the lake. The event is on Alberta's Family Fishing Weekend, so fishing licences are not required. Fishing regulations still apply. Wabamun Lake is catch-and-release.

The 2nd Annual Art, Wine and Charity is a Black Tie Masquerade Gala held on February 10th at Volvo of Edmonton. Dogs with Wings Assistance Dog Society is a registered charitable organization who trains assistance dogs to foster independence and integration for Albertans with disabilities by providing them with highly trained dogs and ongoing support. We offer 5 programs to serve our community and rely solely on the generosity of the public and corporate partners, as we do not receive any annual government funding.

The Edmonton Photographic Historical Society is a camera / photography club open to the public. There is no charge to join and no cost to belong. We exist to promote the historical aspects of photography, the art and science of the processes, the equipment that was used and the photographers that made the images. The University of Alberta Museums in collaboration with SNAP and Edmonton print artist Liz Ingram are pleased to host the KYOTO Hanga 2016 exhibition – "International Print Exhibition: Canada and Japan" organized by Akira Kurosaki, chairman of the Kyoto Print Exhibition Executive Committee. For its first time in Canada, this exhibition will explore over 150 contemporary prints by Canadian and Japanese artists in a way that creates a compelling storyline of recent printmaking in both countries.
