Habitat for Humanity has started a new build! Located in South East Edmonton, this site is part of the upcoming Carter Work Project happening July 9-14, 2017. Upon completion, this location will have 58 homes built. HFH invites individual volunteers and groups of volunteers to build at this site. Shifts are 8:30am to 4:00pm, Tuesday through Saturday. All volunteers receive an onsite safety orientation and training. No minimum number of shifts required and beginners are welcome. Break Free 5K will bring families together to remember how staying active keeps us happy and healthy. Break Free 5k is not your typical run and is a celebration of healthy lifestyles that allows you to play along the way. Walk or run a 5K and partake in our optional Play Stations. Cool off at the water gun station, run through the human bowling alley and pounce through our inflatable bouncy obstacle course. Each Play Station is there to remind us that living a healthy lifestyle is meant to be fun! Rediscover your youth and participate in our Break Free 5K of play. This event will also be celebrating the Run to Quit participants who all made a decision to quit smoking and will be crossing the finish line for the first time together.
