Kristina Perkins

Kristina has been on the Alberta airwaves since the early ’90s, starting in radio and TV in the border city of Lloydminster, moving on to Red Deer, Alta., on KG Country and the Zed, then coming to 630 CHED by the late ’90s. During these early years, every station she worked at made it to the top position in the market. After her team won the prestigious RTNDA “Best Newscast of the Year,” she then jumped back to NAIT to teach radio news in the broadcasting program.

In 2005, she and her husband started their family, and she stayed home with her two children for years before returning to Corus newsrooms in 2021.

Now, outside of work, you can catch her crafting, watching soccer and reading whenever she has a minute to herself.
