The fifth day of public impeachment hearings on U.S. President Donald Trump’s conduct is underway.
The main issue in question is whether Trump’s actions when he asked the Ukrainian president to investigate former U.S. vice-president Joe Biden’s son constitute impeachable conduct.

The hearings have already seen testimony from Gordon Sondland, the U.S. ambassador to the European Union, who told the committee there was a “quid pro quo” discussed between the U.S. and Ukrainian officials.

Thursday’s hearings will include testimony from Fiona Hill, the former National Security Council senior director for Europe and Russia, and David Holmes, a State Department official.
