MONCTON – The CEO of the Vitalite Health Network in New Brunswick says 74 jobs will be cut to save $4 million annually.
Rino Volpe made the announcement Tuesday at a board of directors meeting in Moncton.
Those affected include registered nurses, licensed practical nurses, patient care attendants and people who work in administrative support.
It’s not known yet which hospitals will be affected by the cuts.
Earlier this year, Health Minister Hugh (Ted) Flemming announced almost 400 jobs will be eliminated from the province’s health care system this year as the government tries to trim costs.
