It appears the car was slowing down to turn south onto a road allowance near a gas station when it was rear-ended by the truck, RCMP said.

RCMP and emergency services were dispatched to the crash site shortly after 5:30 p.m. but the boy and his father were pronounced dead at the scene. The grandfather was taken to a Winnipeg hospital, where he’s listed in stable condition.
