LISTEN: Jann Arden song supports rebuilding of Calgary Zoo

CALGARY – Canadian singer Jann Arden is lending her voice to help support recovery efforts at the Calgary Zoo.

The zoo was badly damaged during flooding in late June, which engulfed the facility and caused at least $50 million worth of damage.

While the zoo partially opened on July 31, officials say restoring the 32-acre island completely will take years.

Arden has come to the zoo’s aid with a song she wrote and recorded in support of its “2×2 Rebuild the Zoo” campaign.

Her song, posted on the Calgary Zoo’s website on Wednesday, features backup vocals from a group of young children.
