REVELSTOKE, BC — One person is dead following a serious crash on the Trans-Canada Highway near Revelstoke.
The head-on crash involved a semi tractor trailer and a passenger vehicle.

Police say the crash happened shortly after 8 a.m. roughly eight kilometres west of Revelstoke.
The lone occupant in the passenger vehicle was pronounced dead at the scene.
No names have been released.
The crash forced the highway’s closure for several hours.
The cause of the crash is under investigation.
