Hot weather in store for Saskatoon

SASKATOON – Get ready for some hot and sunny weather, the next week could be the hottest so far this year in Saskatoon.

The temperatures is expected to climb to 27 today under mainly sunny skies.

On Sunday, the forecast high is 28 with a 30 per cent chance of showers or thunderstorms in the evening.

After that, it heats up with the temperature expected to hit 32 on Canada Day and highs for the remainder of the week in the low 30’s under sunny skies.

The UV index is rated as very high, meaning unprotected skin can burn very quickly.

People should avoid the sun between 11 a.m. and 4 p.m. and seek shade, cover up and wear a hat, sunglasses and sunscreen with both UVA and UVB protection and a SPF of at least 15.

The normal temperature for this time of year is 24.
