Members of B.C.’s struggling film industry took their fight to the offices of Christy Clark and Adrian Dix today, calling for more government support.

Save BC Film has amassed more than 30,000 signatures on a petition to save the industry.

They’re looking to educate the public on how far the declining industry reaches.

“The purpose of this was to bring focus to the over 30,000 people that took the time to sign our petition about helping us save the industry and the province of British Columbia,” says Wayne Bennett with Save BC Film campaign, “And to encourage our provincial government to not just toss it to the curb and to realize that the 1.2 billion dollars worth of business that comes in a year is something that is a huge, huge contributor to the B.C. economy.”
